tuesday=email day

so, i have been sick like pretty much everyone else, and am getting life back in order over the last week...much to catch up on! today is my email catch-up day. i thought i would break it up a bit with a recap of the weekend as it relates to mnfashion.
saturday, i met with kristen hasler, the copywriter for voltage: fashion amplified. we finalized the copy for the voltage look book, which is being designed by meghan mcdonald gale, our art director. it is going to be stunning and i can't wait for you to see it!
sunday was coffee with katherine gerdes to catch up and talk about the possibility of a sewing co-op in the near future. we'll keep you posted!
after that delightful beginning to my sunday afternoon, i dropped by nic marshall's studio for the filming of the video interviews for voltage, along with photo shoots for the bands in the look book. i got there in time to check out the haves have it getting fitted for their voltage gear by the EM/MA designers, emily and maritza.
monday was in my studio on the ruby3 spring line- more to come on that in the very near future!

the grand beginning
first, i want to give a thank you to tobin russell. yesterday afternoon, i visited his photo studio...he is wanting to start a monthly fashion photography happening called "fashion throwdown". pretty cool concept where designers, models, stylists all show up and collaborative artistry ensues.
we'll keep you updated.
anyway, he recommended that i start blogging about the development of MNfashion. at first, i was a bit shy about the whole thing, but the more i think about it, there is a great deal of work that has been happening that i would love people to know about. being that MNfashion is a young organization, there is much to do in order to get to 501c3 status, much less create an organization that is viable for the twin cities design community.
so look for updates, and i will keep you posted on the developments.
